dovieDovie L. Jackson, 65, of Killen, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015, after an extended illness.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Elkins Funeral Home, Florence, from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at Elkins Funeral Home Chapel, Florence, at 1 PM, with Dr. Tom Phillips officiating. Burial will be First Baptist Church of Killen Cemetery.

Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Annie Mae Hall; brother, Lester Hall, Jr.; sister, Glenda Hall; nephew, Chris Keeton.

Mrs. Jackson is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 47 years, Ralph E. Jackson; daughter, Kim Jackson; son, Jason Jackson and wife, Kelley; granddaughter, Landrey Kyle Jackson; sisters, Shirley Hayes, Robyn Moore (Freddie), and Carlene Pace; brother, Johnnie Hall (Frances).

Dovie was a member of First Baptist Church of Killen, where she served with love and faithfulness. She was a retired from Regions Bank and Brooks High School, where she served as the school secretary.

Pallbearers will be Jason Jackson, Freddie Moore, Herby Hayes, Billy Jackson, Johnnie Hall, and James Brazell.

The family would like to extend deep gratitude to the staff at Countryside Healthcare in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.
