Doug graduated from Page High School in Williamson County, and then moved on to graduate from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a degree in English.   He played a lead role in several theatre performances between Page High School and Act Too Players in Franklin.   Doug volunteered at the Williamson Animal Shelter, and leaves behind Rogue, his sweet cat that he adopted several years ago.

Beloved son of Kristi (Bob) Shain, Little Brother to Kristen (Daniel) Griffith, Kaitlyn  Buckley, and Big Brother to Dalton Buckley.  Uncle to Ryne Griffith.
Douglass is also survived by his father Troy (Julia) Buckley.
Loved by Grandparents Larry & Ada Johnson and Terry & Marjorie Buckley.
Nephew to Kevin (Kim) Johnson, Ken (Jen) Johnson and Melanie (Steve) Janke.
Cousin to Brooke (Ryne) Daniel (John Carl, Smith, and Bryn),  Nikkie (Ben) Davis (Gabby & Wyatt),  Lucas & Haley Johnson, Anna (Daniel) McWhirter & Ali Janke.
Bonus family Shannon (Brandy) Shain (Travis).  Wes (Jeremy Lee) Shain, Kelley Jo Shain (Abby Jo)

Doug is preceded in death by his great grandparents Wilbur & Mabel Reid, Robert & Dorothy (Douglass)Johnson, George & Della Buckley, and Lester &  Helen Roode.   He was also preceded in death by his Uncle Tracy Buckley.
Doug was named after his maternal great grandmothers family and his Uncle Tracy.
