Douglas  Wayne UzzellMr. Douglas Wayne Uzzell, age 57, of Antioch and a native of Columbia, passed away on July 16, 2014 at his residence.

Douglas was born on July 30, 1956 to the late Frank Ross Uzzell and Louise Anderson Uzzell who survives, in Columbia, Tennessee. He married Lisa in 1991 and was a happy and very loving husband. He was a great father who took great care of his children and always helped them when needed. He would drop everything at a moment’s notice for his son Parker. He also always enjoyed being around his other family members and friends. If you knew Douglas, you know that you would always find him smiling. He was a member of the Pleasant Mount Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He loved playing drums. Additionally, he was into cars and car parts. He could tell you anything about old cars and what was wrong with them. His career path even showed his love of automobiles, in that he worked as a technician at Nissan.

Mr. Uzzell is survived by his loving wife: Lisa Allen Uzzell of Antioch; son: Parker ClenDening; mother: Louise Anderson Uzzell of Columbia; sisters: Carolyn (Jerry) Park, Gayle (Jimmy) Duncan and Pansy Morrow; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father: Frank Ross Uzzell; brother: Frank Nelson Uzzell and son: William ClenDening.

A memorial service celebrating Douglas’ life will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. The family will visit with friends from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p. m. on Wednesday prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Williams Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses: c/o Williams Funeral Home, P. O. Box 38, Columbia, TN 38402.
