Douglas Steele, age 68, Haleyville, AL. passed away May 9, 2025. He was a retired owner of a Manufacturer Housing Supply Business and a member of Bethel Baptist #2 Church.
Visitation will Thursday May 15, 2025 from 12:00NOON – 2:00PM at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, AL. Funeral service at 2:00PM in the chapel, with Dr. Ron Horton and Bro. Joe Spiller officiating. Burial in Bethel Baptist # 2 Cemetery.
Pallbearers, Tyden Steele, Kam Steele, Liam Taylor, Jake Temple, Tanner Burleson, Paden Boutwell and Brett Bennett; Honorary Pallbearers, Justin Steele, Doug Arthur, David Feltman, Rickey Hicks, Hudson Lawson, George Elliott, Jamie Barrett and Jimmie Harbin.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Myra Steele; daughter, Amber (Mark) Farris; brother, Dennis (Pam) Steele; grandchildren, Kole and Presley Farris; brother in law and sister in law, Ronald and Renee Horton; mother in law, Gail Barnett; neice, Ashley (Chase) Frost; nephews, Justin Steele and Jerrad Steele; and members of Bethel Baptist #2 Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Steele and Willie Mae Steele Carruth.
