Douglas Brian Jacques, age 85, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away Monday, October 5, 2026, at his home with his family at his side.
He was born June 12, 1941, in San Mateo, California, to the late Dan and Marian Steffa Jacques. He is survived by his wife, Tracy Sullivan Jacques; three sons, Kevin Jacques of Jacksonville FL, Aaron Greene of Birmingham, AL, and Talan Greene of Jacksonville, AL; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Prior to retirement, Doug built a respected career with AT&T, serving as an Account Sales Manager known for his professionalism and steady leadership. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, he carried his sense of duty throughout his life. Doug was an accomplished airplane pilot and a devoted aviation and Harley-Davidson enthusiast. He found great joy in the freedom of flight. His love of flight, his curiosity, and his commitment to excellence left a lasting mark on everyone who shared the skies with him. Aviation was his lifelong passion, and as an active member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, his thoughtful contributions on aircraft performance were often highlighted in AOPA publications. Doug’s love for adventure, learning, and community will be remembered by all who knew him. Above all, Doug loved spending time with his family, his children, and his grandchildren, who were the heart of his world. His love of flight, his curiosity, and his devotion to family will be remembered always.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Wounded Warriors Fund.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date by the family.
