Doug Lowther, 64, of Huntsville, passed away Monday. Mr. Lowther worked on numerous NASA projects, first at Boeing, then with Northrop Grumman, before retiring from Teledyne Brown. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Janice; sons, Ian Lowther and fiancé, Katie Trausch, and Kyle Lowther and wife, Sarah; grandson, Jude Lowther; sisters, Kerri Lowther, Andrea Lowther, Lisa Elaimy, and Jill Fleury; half-brother, Brian Olson; and step-mother, Julie Lowther.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, June 28 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Coy Hallmark and Dr. Gary Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Dekalb County.
