Doug James Price departed this life on Friday, September 7, 2012, at the age of 50 years, 4 months, 9 days.
He was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 29, 1962, the son of Ruth Hanes Price and the late Harold J. Price. He had served in the US Navy and was self-employed as a carpenter, and enjoyed building and repairing wood of all types. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, and working for charities for children. During his life he had lived in Chicago, Illinois, Leesburg, Florida for 3 years, Indianapolis, Indiana for 6 years and Hardin County, Tennessee for 6 years.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son Derek Price of Galesburg, Illinois; daughter, Cora Price of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandson, Joseph Lee VanRyan.
