Dorris graduated from high school and later earned some college credit, building a foundation that supported both her personal life and her professional career. She went on to work with Coneco Phillips, where she retired after many years of service as a financial advisor. Her work was a reflection of her careful nature, her sense of responsibility, and her ability to guide others with patience and understanding. Those who knew Dorris will remember her as a loving, kind, and thoughtful woman. She had a warm presence that made others feel welcome. She was deeply devoted to the people and animals she loved, and she found joy in the simple comforts of everyday life. Her beloved dog, Max, and her cat, Smokey, were cherished companions, and she took great pleasure in watching birds and spending time in the quiet moments that brought her peace. Dorris also had a spirited side that those closest to her knew well. She enjoyed a good-natured argument with Aunt Pat, and these moments were part of the laughter and closeness that made her family relationships so special. Her sense of humor and her warmth made her a memorable presence in the lives of those around her.
