Dorothy V. Thomas, 89, of Florence, passed away January 10, 2023, at her residence. Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker and a member of Johnson Crossroads Church.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson Crossroads Church. Officiating will be Rod Stansky.
Mrs. Thomas is preceded in death by her parents George and Eva Mae Chaney and five brothers, Lyndon, Carlous, Lavon, David and Bobby; granddaughter, Angel Nowell.
She is survived by children, Patricia Brewster, Garry Thomas, Angela Gray, Glenda Cook, Denise Thomas, Teresa Nowell (Kevin) and Steven Thomas; brothers, Charles and Larry Chaney; grandchildren, James Webb, Jennifer Phillips, Joshua Liles, Andrew Thomas, Jeremy Phillips, Shane Brewster, Ava Patterson and Jackie Bradley; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
