Dorothy Taylor Beal Giles
January 1, 1929 – October 19, 2021
Dot passed away at age 92 from natural causes at her son and daughter-in-law’s home in Huntsville on October 19, 2021. Dot was born and raised in Madison County in Alabama. She retired from Redstone Arsenal and was a member of the Redstone Arsenal Flying Club where she loved to fly.
She is survived by her son, Tommy Beal (Barbara); nephews, James Taylor (Wanda), Doug Beal (Nina), and Clay Giles; nieces, Kim Giles Guerin, Linda McCord, and Charlotte Morris; step-granddaughters, Sherry Hodges, and Donna McAnally; six great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; cousins, Dewey Brazelton and Wilma Neeley; several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Eva Castle Taylor; spouses, Edwin (Bill) Beal and Jimmy Giles; sister, Evelyn Cochran; brothers, Wesley Taylor and Lester Taylor; and son, Donny Giles.
A graveside service will be 11:00 AM on Sunday, October 24th at Maple Hill Cemetery, Mac McCutcheon will be officiating.
