Mrs. Dorothy Sue Shuffett, 94, of Florence, passed away January 5, 2018. She was a member of Mars Hill Church of Christ. She was a sweet and loving wife for 68 years; mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; a registered nurse for 60 years; and a faithful servant of Jesus her Lord from a young age.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Mars Hill Church of Christ with Chris Moran and Carl Goad officiating.
Mrs. Shuffett was preceded in death by her parents, Guy Yandall and Mary Hopkins Smith; and a sister, Kathryn Cleaver.
She is survived by her husband, Vernon Shuffett; son, Vern Shuffett of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Laurie Davies of Olney, MD; 4 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
