Dorothy Sue Bazzel, 82, of Decatur, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019. A visitation for Mrs. Bazzel will be on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Roselawn Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Mrs. Bazzel was born on June 3, 1937 to parents, Grady Burns and Pearl Dollar Burns. She was a caring and compassionate wife and mother, and a loving Emaw and Maw Maw to her grandchildren. Mrs. Bazzel was the true definition of a lady and took great pride in her appearance. She always made sure her hair and nails were properly done. When Mrs. Bazzel was not spending time with her family she enjoyed visiting yard sales, listening to Elvis, and taking care of her flowers. Her presence will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bruce Mitchell Bazzel; daughter, Cynthia Darlene Bazzel, and 9 siblings. Mrs. Bazzel is survived by her son, Chris Bazzel (Myra); daughter, Michele Bazzel; grandchildren, Matthew Bazzel (Kelsey), Maegan Adams (Josh), and Hannah Bazzel. Pallbearers will be Matthew Bazzel, Josh Adams, Glenn Bolan, Joe Bolan, Marvin Herron, and Steve Bolan.
