Ms. Dorothy Rae Varcoe, age 83, of Arab the Union Grove community, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice.
Ms. Varcoe was born on January 31, 1938 in Wisconsin to Charles Frank & Agnes Fagan Frank. Her hobbies included crocheting, sewing, quilting, canning and cooking. She was part of the Alabama Mountain Girls.
Ms. Varcoe is survived by her sons, Steven Varcoe, Glen Varcoe, Walter Varcoe (JoAnn), Wayne Varcoe (Pamela), brother, Richard Frank; sisters, Juanita Dufore, Patricia Conklin, Martha Conklin, Linda Spangenburg; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandschildren.
Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Grassy Church of Christ with Bro. Jeff Goodwin officiating. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel assisting the family.
