Dorothy P. Escue, age 87, of Summertown, TN passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025, at her residence. She was a native of Summertown, TN, and retired from Mt. Pleasant Mfg. She loved gardening, being outside, and collecting rocks.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Wyrick Powell; her husband, Walter Escue; two sons, Michael Escue and Ronnie Escue; six sisters; and three brothers.
She is survived by one daughter, Angela Kilburn (Jerry) of Summertown, TN; one son, Jeff Escue (Saundra) of Summertown, TN; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Kilburn (Sarah) of Summertown, TN, Lee Kilburn (Charissa) of Leoma, TN, Nathan Escue of Summertown, TN, Jesse Escue (Ashley) of Summertown, TN, Lindsey Barron (Wes) of Lewisburg, TN, Rebecca King (James) of Summertown, TN, and Joe Escue (Clarissa) of Summertown, TN; thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces, and nephews.
The family would like to thank Compassus Hospice and a special thanks to Alex, Molly, and Abby.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Saturday, June 21, 2025, with Coy Reeves officiating. Interment will follow at Hinestown Cemetery in Summertown, TN.
