Dorothy Nell Pledger, 84 of Cave Spring, passed away Thursday, May 14th in Floyd Medical Center in Rome, GA.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 16th at 2 P.M. at the Perry Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Old Nazareth Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 P.M. Saturday.
Survivors include a son, Phillip (Sherry) Pledger of Gaylesville; daughter, Judy Pledger of Cave Spring; brothers, Jimmy Doegg and Wayne Doegg of Centre; sisters, JoAnn Wynn of Summerville, GA, Margaret Holderfield of Gadsden, Betty Henderson of Kellyton and Billie Kitchens of Lindale, GA; grandchildren, Phillip and Wayne Pledger, Jessie and Dillon Greenleaf and Brad Benefield; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Earl Pledger and a daughter, Wanda Jane Pledger.
Mrs. Pledger was a native of Cherokee County, the daughter of the late Joe and Lucy Prater Doegg and was a member of the Mountain View Baptist Church.
Pallbearers: Phillip Pledger, Jesse Greenleaf, Dillon Greenleaf, Dalton Almond, Chad Tucker, Brad Benefield.
