Dorothy Nell Alexander, age 86, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026 at Generations of Vernon in Vernon, AL. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Wofford Cemetery. Bro. Steven Sanderson to officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at the funeral home from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

Dorothy Nell (Franklin) Alexander was born on January 28, 1940 in Sulligent, AL to the late Clyde Franklin and the late Abbie Harris Franklin. She was formerly married to Charles V. Alexander of New Orleans, LA. She lived most of her life in Sulligent, AL except for the 12 years she lived in New Orleans, LA and 5 years in Aberdeen, MS. Dorothy previously worked at McCoy Manufacturing and the Piggly Wiggly in Sulligent, AL, which she retired from. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and loved sewing. Dorothy was a proud and faithful member of Sulligent First Baptist Church. Her kind and loving heart and beautiful spirit will always be fondly remembered and never forgotten.
