Dorothy Mildred Green

Age 94 of White House went home to be with the Lord Monday, December 12, 2022 at White House Health Care & Rehab. She was born February 8, 1928 in Gainesboro, TN to Henry and Willie Long Matthews. She worked as an assembly worker for Werthan Bag before her retirement. She was a member of Madison Assembly of God. She loved going to church, spending time with her friends and family, singing, going to yard sales and cooking, especially sweets. Some of her specialties were coconut tarts and cakes. She enjoyed playing Bingo with her friends at the Rehab and spending time with her grandchildren every opportunity that she got. She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Tommy Smith and Hugh Smith; daughter, Arlene Jackson; 4 brothers; 1 sister. She is survived by her son, Jim (Brenda) Smith, Lebanon, TN; daughter, Millie East, White House, TN; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service is scheduled for Friday, December 16, 2022 at 11am in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Bro. Bob Allen officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30pm in Draper Memorial Cemetery in Gainesboro, TN with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
