Dorothy May "Dot"  Murphy Mrs. Dorothy May “Dot” Murphy, age 93 of Spring Hill, TN went to be with the Lord on September 3, 2019. Born in Maury County, TN to the late Paul Dean Duvall and Margaret Chunn Duvall. She was a longtime member of the New Lasea Church of Christ. She was a sweet, kind and loving person who loved her family more than anything. She also enjoyed going camping and fishing with them. Dot will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her husband William Horace Murphy; daughter, Ann Denton; siblings, Buddy Duvall, Joe Duvall, Bonnie Williams and Larry Duvall. She leaves behind her three children, Paulette (Billy) Wright, Lynn (Mike Dobbins) McNeely, Freddie (Janie) Murphy; brother, Leonard Duvall; grandchildren, Renee (Jon) Farmer, David (Christy) Wright, Tracy (Kristi) Farlow, Jeff (Jennifer) Farlow, Shannon (Steve) Brown, John (Kristy) Murphy, Travis (Krissy) McNeely, Amanda (Brad) Erwin; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and many other loving nieces, nephews and family members. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00AM on Friday, September 6, 2019 at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home, Kenneth McFarland officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-8PM on Thursday and one hour prior to the service. Burial in the Shires Cemetery. Edward Harmon and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family would like to thank Mr. Edward Harmon, the doctors, nurses and staff of NHC Columbia and Caris Hospice for the care and friendship shown to Mrs. Murphy.
