Dorothy Marion Conklin, 87, of Glen Burnie, Maryland, formerly of Eva, Alabama, passed away on Nov. 18, 2016 with her family by her side.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Gerald Conklin and her parents Frederick and Marion Webber Dyer. She majored in chemistry at Syracuse University before becoming a homemaker. She spent her life raising a family, helping others, and rescuing animals. She loved spending time with her family, reading and gardening.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Andrew Conklin (Lorene), of Pasadena, Maryland, Charlie Conklin, of England, Anne Lakin, of West Blocton, Alabama, Bob Conklin (Eileen) and Doug Conklin (Emi), of San Francisco, California. Survived also by siblings, Richard Dyer (Gita), of New York and Margery Northrop, of Virginia; grandchildren, Kenny and Jarrod Lakin, Lane Conklin, Kristal Neale, Marty Hoegg, Kara Winn, Marion and Brendan Conklin, and five great-grandchildren.
