Dorothy Marie Attkisson Hardison Dorothy Marie Attkisson Hardison, 99, former long-time resident of Clear Creek Lake in Giles County, died Friday, April 23, 2021 at The Summitt in Lawrenceburg, where she had lived for the last five years.

A graveside service will be conducted Monday at 11:00 A.M. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Michael Tidwell officiating. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements and condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Born July 9, 1921 in Giles County, she was the daughter of the late U.B. Attkisson and the late Violet Tyler Attkisson. On December 21, 1940, she married William Hardison, Sr. who preceded her in death May 11, 2017. Mrs. Hardison was a member of Fairview Church of Christ in Pulaski.

Survivors include her sons, William (Paulette) Hardison, Jr, of Pulaski; Dwight (Sarah) Hardison of Belden, Mississippi; daughters, Debbie Bone of Pegram; Wanda (Mike) Tidwell of Gallatin; grandchildren, Rebecca (Michael) Runions, Scott Hardison, Will (Joslin) Tidwell, Cindy Thurman, Reid Hardison; and six great grandchildren.

The family would like to express a special thanks to The Summitt staff for their care and compassion for both of their parents.
