Dorothy Jeanette Richie, age 74 of Double Springs, entered into rest on March 15, 2013.
She was born June 22, 1938 in Jasper, Alabama. She was an active member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church for 27 years. She was a minister’s wife.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 6-8pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville. Services will be held Monday at 11am, in the chapel. Burial will be at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Double Springs. Brother David Sawyer will officiate.
Mrs. Richie is survived by her daughter, Suzie Morton (Keith Riddle); sons, Tim Richie, Ron Richie, and Randy Richie; sister, Delene (Ron) Craig; and was “Nona” to four grandchildren, Haley Morton, Josh Richie, Erica Richie, and Jonathan Richie.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Reverend S.T. Richie and parents, Coil and Estelle Orr.
