Dorothy Jean Hampton Paden, 83, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at the Iuka Hospital. She was born in Hughes, AR to John H. Hampton and Odessa Engle Hampton and was a registered nurse.
Services will be Friday, September 12, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Roger Wood officiating. Visitation will be 11-2 p.m. Friday, September 12, at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Red Bay, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Floyd Paden; a son, David Paden; a daughter, Cindy Russell (Sandy); grandchildren, Brittany Faris (Eric), Jonathan Russell (Lakin), Isabella Russell (Brandon Hill), Brianna Paden, Nichole Costello (James), Nicholas Paden and Jessica Helton (Dwayne); six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and two brothers, John Thomas Hampton and Jerry Hampton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a great-grandson, Josiah Petrie and her sisters-in-law.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Hill, Eric Faris, Jonathan Russell, Wesley O’Brian, Charles Paden and Ray Paden.
