Funeral service for Dorothy Jean Boster Knight, 73, will be Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Clayton Speed officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Knight died on Monday, September 26, 2016 at her residence. She was born December 26, 1942, in Owensboro, Kentucky to Spaulding Davis “Sam” Boster and Anna Belle Blades Boster. Dorothy was a member of Haywood Hills Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee, for more than forty years before moving in 2013 to Hartselle, where she was a member of Hartselle First Baptist Church.
She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who devoted her life to serving others. She was a passionate encourager of people who were facing tough decisions or difficult times. During her life, she wrote thousands of notes and emails to friends, family members, and fellow church members. She was employed as a typesetter and proofreader for Prototype Graphics and Knight Media.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother: Charles Boster.
