Dorothy Handley Forrester, age 86, was born July 1, 1930, in Cordova, AL. She passed away on Friday, September 23, 2016, at her home in Jasper.
Visitation will held Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home in Jasper, with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Oakhill Cemetery in Jasper. Rev. David Byrd, pastor of Northside Baptist Church, will officiate.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her Husband-Leroy Hamilton and her Parents-Irving D. and Vivian Snow Handley.
She is survived by her Husband-Ottis B. Forrester; Daughters-Janice Hamilton Rogers of Ridgeway, CO, Carol F. Eads of Millbrook, AL and Marcia F. Hicks of Foley, AL; Son-Richard Forrester of Birmingham, AL; Sister-Doris H. Sparks of Jasper; Brothers-Eddie Bruce Handley of Carbon Hill, James Daniel Handley of Birmingham and Phillip Wayne Handley of Kerrville, TX; 8 Grandchildren; 2 Great Grandchildren; her Northside Baptist Church Family and a host of other friends.
