Dorothy Hamm, age 85, of Cherokee, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. Her visitation will be today at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the funeral service to follow in the chapel. Jackie Pruitt will officiate the service. Burial will be in Morris Hill Cemetery.
Dorothy was a native and lifelong resident of Colbert County, Alabama. She was a retired switchboard operator for TVA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Hassie Hamm; nephew, Michael Ray Hamm; and her sister-in-law, Edna Hamm.
Dorothy is survived by her brother, Donald Ray Hamm; nephew, David Hamm (Hannah); great-nephew, Jacob Hamm; and great-niece, Elizabeth Hamm.
