Dorothy Fay White Foster, 89, of Roanoke, Virginia went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 28, 2018. She was preceded by her loving husband, James T. Foster; parents, Grady and Stella White; brothers, Bert and Harold White; and grandson, Tommy Lee Phillips.
Surviving are her children, Sheila (Alvin) McDaniel of Glade Hill, Virginia, Sallie (Michael) Givens, Grady (Mary) Foster, Sharon Wimmer, all of Roanoke, and Tami Foster of Floyd, Virginia; siblings, Nola Ellease Boles of Salem, Virginia, Nell (Wayne) Morrell of Bristol, Tennessee, Shelby McGee and Cheryl (Wendell) Truitt, both of Lexington, Alabama, Janice (Robert) Bivens of Leoma, Tennessee, Ronnie (Jan) White of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; grandchildren, Sonia (Eric) Whitley, Jason (Shannon) Berg, Jason Hall, Jessica (Mike) Williams and Nathan Foster; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, VA by the Rev. Robert Mullins. Interment will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Simpson Funeral Home. 540-366-0707.
