Dorothy Elouise Wimberley, age 85, of Phil Campbell, passed away September 16, 2023.
Dorothy was a Christian and a member of Union Hill Community Methodist Church in Phil Campbell. She was a member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her children, Vanessa Cochran, Joey Wimberley, James Wimberley (Ellen), Larry Wimberley (Terri); sister, Jean Herman (Carl); seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Wimberley Sr.; parents, James and Winnie Weeks; sisters, Louise Slagel, Allien Brandon; and daughter-in-law, Belinda Gail Wimberley.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Union Hill Community Methodist Church in Phil Campbell from 12-2 p.m. with the funeral service following at 2 p.m. Bro. Darryl Rambo and Bro. Corey Cochran will officiate the service. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Justin Wimberley, David Wimberley, Gabe Cochran, Ben Cochran, John Timmons and Eric Weeks. Marty Walker will serve as Honorary Pallbearer.
