Funeral service for Dorothy (Duffey) Goodwin, age 76, of Trinity, will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Caudle officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Goodwin, who died Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at her residence, was born August 24, 1947, in Alabama to Lawrence and Hester Duffey. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry Goodwin, three brothers, Wayne Duffey, Gene Duffey, and Norman Duffey; and one sister, Elaine Case.
She is survived by two sons, Vaughn Goodwin (Deanna) and Stevie Goodwin (Rachel); one daughter, Missy Terry (Rodney); brother, Billy Duffey (Juanita); four grandchildren, Jared Terry (Meagan), Jada Terry, Lindsay Peluso (Gabe), and Reagan Goodwin, one great-grandchild, Cooper Terry; and granddog, Maggie Mae.
Pallbearers will be Jared Terry, Gabe Peluso, Wally Duffey, and Rodney Terry.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Valley (240 Johnston Street, S.E., Decatur, AL 35601).
