Mrs. Dorothy “Dottie” Eakes Osborn, age 76 of Madison, died Sunday at home. A native of Lincoln County, TN, she has resided in Huntsville for many years. Dottie was a twenty-five year employee of N.A.S.A., before retiring to help her husband with Osborn Sign Company. She was loving and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, of 50 years, Lamar Gene Osborn, son, Chris Osborn and wife Carla, sister Peggy Foster and husband David, three brothers, Charles Eakes and wife Judy , Gene Eakes and wife Aneva, and David Eakes, granddaughter Faith Osborn, grandson, Max Osborn, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, where the family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 PM Thursday. A service will follow at 7:00 PM in Spry’s Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Children’s Hospital, Southern Family Care Hospice, or your choice of charity.
