Dorothy “Dot” Sanford Cromer, 86, longtime resident of Piedmont, passed away at Redmond Regional Medical Center on January 21, 2023. She is survived by her lifelong husband of 69 years, Lindsey Cromer; 2 sons, Jerry (Wanda) Cromer and Philip (Michelle) Cromer; 4 grandchildren, Wendy Cromer, Jennifer (Clarence) Huie, Brittany Bengert, and Lindsey Barkley; sister, Mel-Vinna (Paul) Formby; 8 great grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ruby Sanford; and 2 sisters, Mary Cromer and Vera Jean Hollingsworth. She was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church. She was known for her love of baking cakes and spending time with her family.
A memorial celebrating her life will be announced at a later date.
She will be missed dearly.
