Dorothy “Dot” Lee Knight, age 89, of Russellville, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at her residence.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 47 years Gerald Knight, Sr.; children, Dianne Summers, Donna Green (Dale), Cindy Latham, Debbie Kennedy, Greta Ayers, Karen Daniel (Ricky); grandchildren, Milton Green, Jr. (Cortney), Ashley Byran (Joel), Jennifer Judkins (Russell), Lee Kennedy (Brandi), Amanda Kennedy, Charles Henry Ayers III (Abby), Laura Grace Ayers, Hannah Beth Ayers, Christopher Daniel (Callie), Clayton Daniel (Kate), Conner Daniel (Sarah), Candice Daniel, Nicole Gardner (Jacob); 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Gerald Knight Jr; grandsons, Cory Scott Summers, Joshua Earl Green; parents, Oscar & Doshia (Cofield) Rollins; and brother, Charles Rollins.
The visitation will be 11:00 – 12:00 noon, Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will follow at 12:00 noon in the chapel with Bro. Jimmy King speaking at the service. The burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Bessemer, Alabama. The pallbearers will be the grandsons and great-grandsons.
