Dorothy “Dot” Lane Herald, age 83 of Jasper, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019 at her residence.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Hunter’s Chapel Holy Church of Christ, she will lie in state from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery, Adam Bolton will officiate.
Mrs. Herald was preceded in death by her Mother-Bertha Jewell Lane; Father-Arthur Gladys Lane; Husband-Harvel William “Bill” Herald.
She is survived by her Daughter-Desire Herald; Sons-Darwin Herald and Shawn Herald; Brothers-Johnny Berry and Buddy Lane; 8 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
