Dorothy “Dot” Hice, 84 of Elkmont, passed away on Friday, November 3rd, 2023, at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mrs. Hice was born on June 8th, 1939, in Limestone County, to James William Smith and Gracie Mae Edwards Smith.
Mrs. Hice is survived by her husband of 64 years, Norman Hice; son Greg Hice (Charlotte), of Ardmore; daughter Norma Jean Malone, of Elkmont; and grandchildren Dustin, Scott, and Karla Hice, and Katie, Matthew, Emily, and James David Malone.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son Timothy Hice; and 9 siblings.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hice will be Tuesday, November 7th, 2023, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Kris Vilander officiating. Visitation will be Monday, November 6th, from 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Gatlin Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family.
Dorothy Hice was a loving wife and mother to 3 children. She was a devoted caregiver to her son, Tim Hice. She adored her grandchildren. She was a member of Hays Mill Church of Christ.
