Dorothy Carolyn Taylor  Mrs. Dorothy Carolyn Parish Taylor of Oxford passed away on May 3, 2024 at RMC after a short illness.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents: Henry Jackson Parish and Ruby Jewell Vice Parish; brothers, Charles William and James Henry Parish, and by her sister, Linda Diane Colasacco.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of almost 58 years Anthony Taylor; daughters, Jennifer Leigh Dorsey (Glenn- deceased), Melissa Anne Wilkinson (Todd); granddaughters Morgan Leigh Williams (James-deceased), Katie Anne Hilley (Keenan); 2 great grandchildren; niece Angie Davis (Eric), and her special friend/neighbor Pam Heidenreich.

Carolyn was born in Etowah County but lived most of her life in Calhoun County. She was an active member of Church of the Highlands (Oxford) until she was unable to attend due to health reasons.
She was an excellent and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was small in stature but her passing left a void in her family’s lives that will be hard to overcome.

Carolyn’s wishes were to be cremated and no funeral services are planned.
