Dorothy Benefield, 84 of Quinton, passed away Monday July 21, 2025 at her residence.
Mrs. Benefield was a homemaker. During her working career, she along with her husband Don, owned and operated WWYN-107 radio in Jackson, TN. Under her guidance, the station won Small Market Station of the Year for two consecutive years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Dorothy Braselton.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Don Benefield; her sons, Greg Benefield and wife Lynn and Tim Benefield and wife Penny; her daughter, Kim Cupps and husband Justin; grandchildren, Taylor Graham (Jeremy), David Roy, Madison Martin (Logan), Hunter Creel (Mallory), Erin Alexander and Jason Creel; great grandchildren, Logan, Riley, Maggie, Niko, Adley and Carter; her sisters, Joan Kuykindall and Jean McGill; several other relatives and many friends.
Graveside service and interment will be Thursday July 24, 25 at 1:30 pm at Crestview Memorial Gardens. Bro. Larry Neal will officiate. Visitation is Thursday from 11:00 am until 1pm at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home.
