Dorothy Ann Pepper  Dorothy Ann Pepper, 91 of Athens, passed away on Monday, January 8th, 2023, at Limestone Health facility. Miss Pepper was born on June 24th, 1932, in Athens, to Theo and Ruth Barksdale Pepper.

Miss Pepper is survived by her nieces Jane Hudson, Charlotte Groce, Mary Ann Long, Judy Johnson, Mildred Johnson, Bonnie Snoddy, Kay Peek, Marta Kinzer, Wanda French, Beverly Haney, Dewinna Griffin, Nancy Thornton, Donna Bridges, Lisa Pepper-Keenum, and Carla Pepper; nephews Wade Pepper, Mark Pepper, Larry Tribble, Hal Parvin, Rodney Parvin, Dennis Johnson, Milton Ray Pepper, and Daniel Pepper; sisters-in-law Bessie Pepper and Marjorie Pepper; several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Theo and Ruth Barksdale Pepper; brothers Franklin Pepper, Daniel Pepper, Mitchell Pepper, Mason Pepper, Hector Pepper, Milton Pepper, and Douglas Pepper; and sisters Alma Vasser, Julia Winston, Rebecca Schrimsher, Clera Tribble, Isabelle Parvin, and Sophia Johnson Landers.

Funeral services for Miss Pepper will be Thursday, January 11th, 2024, at 11:00am at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Mark Pepper and Jeff Peek officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:45am at the funeral home. Burial will be at Athens City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Claude Kinze, Larry Tribble, Hal Parin, Rodney Parvin, Brady Peek, and Wade Pepper.

Miss Pepper was a member of Jones Road Church of Christ. She was retired from BellSouth.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Hospice of Limestone County.
