Dorothy Ann “Dot” Green, age 89 of Jackson, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at her home.Dot was born to the late Hallie & Charlie Powers on May 10, 1935. She grew up in Scotts Hill, TN where she graduated from Scotts Hill High School. In addition to being a homemaker, Dot spent time as a Physical Therapy Assistant, Secretary, and Librarian. She was a member of Bemis United Methodist Church.
Dot is preceded in death by her two brothers Charles & Howell Taylor Powers; one sister, Helen Rhodes; and her beloved husband of over 60 years, Larry Green.
She is survived by her son, Randall Green (Tanya); grandchildren Alexander (Emily) and Katherine (Jerry); & great-grandchildren Joey & Vera.
Dot was a much-loved Mom, NaNa, & Great-Grandma Polka Dot. She will be sorely missed.
A service to celebrate the life of Dot Green will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with burial following in Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m., two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
