Dorothy Adams Harwell, 91, of Baton Rouge, LA, formerly of Iuka, MS, died Thursday, May 19, 2022, at her residence in Baton Rouge, LA. Mrs. Harwell was of the Methodist faith and was a former English teacher. She was a generous and kind person who enjoyed square dancing, round dancing, and reading. She was also a master bridge player and enjoyed traveling and visiting with her family. She is survived by one son, David Adams (Dana); one daughter, Paula Adams; three grandchildren, John W. Adams, Paul John Adams, and Laura J. Rider; and two great-grandchildren, Ian Knight and Jenna Knight. She was preceded in death by two husbands, David Paul Adams, Jr. and Max Harwell; a brother, Robert Eldon Dale; and a sister, Marcella Mangeracina. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 noon, Wednesday, May 25, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Jerry Bonds. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home on Wednesday.
