Doris West McMichael, beloved wife and mother, age 84, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, Dec. 19, 2014.
She was born Sept. 6, 1930 in Wrightsville, GA. Some of the places she lived included Charleston, SC, Louisville, KY, Paducah, KY, Carterville, IL and Huntsville, AL. She was the first secretary of Trinity Baptist Church. Doris was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Huntsville, AL where she taught Sunday school and was active in the WMU. She loved her Sunday school girls and brought much joy and laughter to so many people’s lives.
Survivors include her husband, David McMichael; and her children, Dr. David McMichael of Montana, Sharon Wilson of South Carolina and Angela Beck of Virginia.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Monday, December 22 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Mt. Zion Road, Huntsville, with the funeral service immediately following at the church. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Mt. Zion Rd., Huntsville.
