Doris Province Burleson, 86, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Friday, August 5, 2022, at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home. Doris was a member of Iuka Gospel Chapel. She was formerly employed at the Iuka Shirt Factory, and later worked at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home. She spent much of her time in prayer and reading her Bible. She also enjoyed watching game shows. She is survived by a daughter, Joy Baxter (Mark); two sisters, Betty Sue Cleveland and Annette Strachan; one grandchild, Ben Baxter (Page); two step-grandchildren, Rickie Starnes and Jennifer Bennett (Raymond); and two great-grandchildren, Payton Baxter and Mason Baxter. She was preceded in death by a son, Ike Burleson; her parents, Walter and Beulah Crowell Province; three brothers, Roy Provins, Bill Province, and Charles Province; and a sister, Faye Lomax. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 8, at Iuka Gospel Chapel, officiated by Bro. Ronnie Broom. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Bradley Cleveland, Logan Cleveland, Ben Baxter, Paul Province, Jonathan Godwin, and Stephen Godwin. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, August 7, at Iuka Gospel Chapel, and will continue beginning one hour prior to service time. Memorials may be made to the Widows Fund at Iuka Gospel Chapel.
