Doris Mae Busby Beasley, 89, died Friday, October 4, 2019, at the Panola Medical Hospital in Batesville. She was born September 16, 1930, in Los Angeles, California, to Leon and Irene Keller Busby. She was a retired teacher’s aide for theAqua Dulce School District. She also worked as a Daycare coordinator. She belonged to T.O.P.S. (Take off Pounds Sensibly), and was a K.O.P.S. (Keep Of Pounds Sensibly) for fifteen years.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 12, at the East Fulton Baptist Church with Bro. John Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, John Beasley of Oregon and Jim Beasley of Fulton; two daughters, Judy Murphey of California and Joan Carlson of Tillatoba, MS; one sister, Ruth Wagner of Torrance, California; Thirteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren, and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cluster “Bud” Beasley; one brother, Robert “Bob” Beasley; one granddaughter, Karrie Beasley; and her parents.
