Doris Lee Rye Lewis, age 89 of Hamilton, Alabama passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. She was born on Monday, November 04, 1935, to Ira C. Rye and Sarah Sea Rye.
Doris was a Southern lady of deep family values and a caring LPN nurse for her patients and co-workers over her career of nursing.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Raymond Lewis; son, Ronald Lewis (wife, Donnie); grandson, Robert Lewis (wife, Jenna); great-grandchildren, Jackson and Chasie Lewis, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Sarah Rye; and sister Faye Rye Greene.
The visitation will be from 11-1 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2025, at Marion County Funeral Home and the service will follow at 1 pm in the chapel with Bro. Ed Puckett officiating. The interment will be at Cooper Cemetery.
