Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Laverne Renfroe, age 81 are scheduled for 1 PM on Wednesday December 20, 2017 in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Beech River Cemetery. Mrs. Renfroe passed away on Saturday December 16, 2017 at her home in Lexington. She was born January 27, 1936 in Fulton, KY to the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Gargus. She was Church of Christ in belief and was loving, caring, and wonderful to all of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Mr. Onnie Renfroe, brother, Charles Gargus, and sister, Helen Cantrell. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Diane Scott (Terry Sherwood), grandchildren, Tammy Hopper (Jamie Neal) and Tommy Shane Scott (Samantha), four great grandchildren; Brittany Powers, Megan Powers, Joseph Powers, and Tommy Scott, and one great-great granddaughter, Jenna V. Holmes, and her special pet, Maggie.

I am so sorry I miss her funeral. We just found out about it tonight. She was my great aunt on the Renfroe side. My grandmother was Onnie sister. I will always have cherish memories of her (she used to babysit me when I was little). I will light a candle in her memory and my prayers are with you.
