Mrs. Doris L. Underwood, 87 of Mt. Ida, Arkansas, formerly of Florence passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Arkansas Hospice Center in Hot Springs Arkansas. She was a native of Lauderdale County and while residing in Florence attended Petersville Church of Christ along with being active in Senior Citizens.
Visitation is today, July 26, 2013 from 10-11 a.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with burial in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating will be Sonny Owens.
Mrs. Underwood is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lee “Buddy” Underwood, parents, John and Mamie Smith, three brothers, Floyd, Rufus, and Sammy Smith, and a sister, Ruth Ellis.
She is survived by two sons, Ralph Underwood(Etha) of Winchester, TN. and Randell Underwood(Peggy) of Hot Springs, AR., brother, Tommy Smith(Rose) of Raleigh, N.C., three grandchildren, Brian and Allan Underwood of Phoeniz, AZ. and Lindsay Underwood Riddle(Keith) and one great grandchild, Malloree Riddle all of Winchester, TN.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
