Doris J. Murdock, 84, of Ford City, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 4, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Thursday, February 5, in the funeral home chapel beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Donald Davis officiating. Interment will be in Corum Cemetery, Lexington.
Doris worked as a Door Greeter at Walmart. She enjoyed her job very much, as it gave her the opportunity to meet and talk to so many people. Her greatest loves were the Lord and her family. Doris was an amazing cook and got a lot of pleasure feeding those that she loved. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Murdock; son, Parrish Murdock; sisters, Katy Tucker, Arnita Clemmons, Inez Berry, Virginia Bond, Bert Rogers, Gertie Baugus, and Marie Gregory; and brothers, William, Leo, and Royce Phillips.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Tosha Carlisle (Tim); grandchildren, Cody Carlisle (Miranda) and Jacob Carlisle; three great-grandchildren, Kylei, Kasidy, and Rigs; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tim Carlisle, Cody Carlisle, Jacob Carlisle, Carlos Berry, Troy Tucker, and Anthony Gregory. Doris’ family will serve as honorary pallbearers.
