Doris Faye Holder was born on March 2, 1943 in Clifton, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Hugh Oscar “Pete” and Ollie Pauline Walker Holder.

Doris was a 1961 graduate of Frank Hughes High School in Clifton, Tennessee. She retired from AT&T where she worked in Jr. Engineering. She was a member of Telephone Pioneer Association and volunteered at Camp Bluebird.

Doris Faye Holder departed this life on February 28, 2026 in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 82 years, 11 months, and 26 days.

She is survived by her brothers, James Floyd Holder of Manchester, Tennessee and John Thomas Holder of Clarksville, Tennessee; niece, Jeanne Myers; nephews, Jeff Holder, Eric Holder, Craig Holder, Colby Holder, and Jonathan Holder; and great nieces and nephews, Sydney Myers, Cole Holder, Penelope Holder, Les Holder, Jax Holder, Matthew Holder, Holly Holder, Hailey Holder, and Hallie Holder.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her brothers, Jesse Brown “Juke” Holder and Charles Preston “Pedo” Holder.
