Doris (Dottie) McClain was born January 9, 1940 in Hornsby, TN the daughter of the late Napoleon and Ella Byrd McIntyre.
In her early years, she had a brief acting career and went by the stage name of Kenya Coburn. She spent the majority of her life raising her four children, working as a news anchor, radio deejay, and an IRS employee. She loved to read and enjoyed painting as a hobby.
Ms. McClain departed this life on December 28, 2015 in Corinth, MS at the age of 75 Years, 11 Months, 19 Days. She is survived by two daughters, Sarah McClain Ellis and husband Derrick of Madison, MS, Wendy McClain Nethery and husband Trent of Corinth, MS; a son, Daniel (Chip) McClain of Corinth, MS; and two grandchildren, McClain Ellis, Drake Gann.
In addition to her parents, Ms. McClain was preceded in death by two sisters, Flo Downs and Phyllis McIntyre; and a brother, Tommy McIntyre.
