Doris Christine Blakely Peek age 91 of Athens, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. Mrs. Peek was born September 1, 1925 in Limestone County, AL to Luther Blakely and Ada Barker Blakely.
Services will be Saturday, April 1, 2017 3:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Gerald Romine and Jeff Peek officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 prior to the service. Burial will be in Sandlin Cemetery.
Mrs. Peek was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by her husband, William Peek; daughter, Jackie Romine; parents, Luther and Ada Blakely, brothers, Ervin, Otis, Floyd and Horace Blakely.
Survived by her son, Gary Peek and wife, Gloria of Athens; three grandchildren, Clellan Romine, Shana Keenon and husband, Phil, Dustin Peek and wife, Ashley; six great-grandchildren, Avery, Cara and Ellie Keenon; Titus, Samuel and Nathan Peek; son-in-law, Marcus Romine and wife, Beth of Athens; one sister, Louise Romine and husband, Gerald of Roanoke, AL, one brother, Grady Blakely and wife, Judy of Athens; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Clellan Romine, Dustin Peek, Phil Keenon, Mark Blakely, Paul Romine and Reggie Blakely.
