Doris C. Jones, 83, of Tuscumbia died Monday, April 15, 2019. Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 8 at Colbert Memorial Chapel. The service will be Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Gerald Pennington and Terry Jones will be officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.Doris was a member of Littleville Church of Christ. She worked many years as an entrepreneur and business owner. Her greatest gift was being a mother, grandmother, and an excellent homemaker
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Paul D. Jones; parents, Kelly and Madeline Elledge; sisters, Norma O’ Malley, Jewel Kimbrough and Lucy Elledge.
Doris is survived by her sons, Terry Jones (Tammy) and Danny Jones (Joanne); daughters, Paula Taylor (Carlon), Anita Thomas (Keith Steele) and Jennifer Jones (Anthony Dalrymple); sister, Jeanette Jeffrey; brother, Gary Elledge (Jean); grandchildren, Justin Taylor (Beth), Jeremy Taylor (Natasha), Talon Thomas (Grace), Chris Jones (Kaylee), Courtney Jones, Ethan Thomas, Phoebe Jones, Kasey McKleroy, Karissa Simmons (Troy), Luke Jones, Kristen Eller; great-grandchildren, Brynlie and Paityn Taylor, Nylah, Novah and Raeleigh Thomas, Hadley and Emsley Simmons, Paisleigh and Bentley Eller, Atticus Thomas to arrive in June; and host of loving nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
