Doris Ann Thompson Doris Ann Thompson, age 72, passed away peacefully in Bagley with her family by her side. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald T. Thompson; son, Steven Thompson; sister, Elizabeth Robinson and her brothers, Ray Hansford and Roycesteen Hansford. Doris is survived by her children, Denise Antonio (Ricardo) of New Port Richey, FL, Donald Thompson (Mary), Greg Thompson (Stacey) both of Jasper, AL, Laura Coffee (Patrick) of Bagley, AL and Joseph Simpson (Christy) of Vinemont, AL; sister, Frances Maupin (Tommy) of Jackson; 17 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews including Jerry Robinson (Melinda). Doris was a loving and caring person who devoted her life to her family. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Adamsville, AL. She retired from Jefferson County Board of Education after 27 years of service. Doris had a passion for gardening and playing slot machines. She was deeply loved and will be deeply missed by both family and friends. Services for Doris will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022 at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Funeral Mass beginning at 11am with visitation held for one hour prior. Burial will follow in New Horizon Memorial Gardens in Dora, AL. The Very Rev. Vernon F. Huguley and The Very Rev. Anthony Weis will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church.
